Fintech Finance Manager

Job Description:
  • The Finance Manager is responsible for financial reporting, R&D project support, building and enhancing financial models, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • You will be working cross-functionally within the business to help support the overall company strategy.
  • Due to our fast-paced start-up environment, the duties and responsibilities will evolve over time, so we are looking for someone who has the capacity and desire to grow within the position.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Working with other internal stakeholders and outside tax preparers in connection with tax returns preparation and submission.
  • Treasury management and revenue reconciliation.
  • Provide strategic advice to other business stakeholders.
  • Management of supplier payments and procurement process.
  • Manage and grow the team.
  • Dealing with external auditors.
  • Taking on ad hoc tasks as required in a start-up environment.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent with 5 years experience at a consulting, corporate finance, or audit firm.
  • Strong financial reporting experience in the finance, consumer lending, or technology sectors.
  • Previous experience within a Multi-Currency, Multi-Company, Multi-Jurisdiction environment is a plus.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to check for accuracy and give good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly tasks, work on own initiative.
  • Quick learner as multiple systems will need to be used to get tasks done.
  • Task-orientated with the ability to work to very tight deadlines.
